Profile
Dr. Chhatre's research focuses on two broad areas: (1) Intersection of physical and mental health among persons with malignancies and comorbidities, and (2) Preference assessment and patient-centered care interventions to improve quality of care. She is engaged in clinical trials, prospective studies and secondary data analysis to study important questions related to mental health, substance abuse (including opioids), HIV, and cancers, and their health outcomes, including disparities. She has extensive experience in the use of data from Veterans Health Administration, Medicare, SEER-Medicare, and Medicaid. She is also actively involved in development of decision-aids for preference assessment intervention and their implications for patient-centered care.
