Profile

Karin Daniels, PhD, co-directs the CHERP Mentoring Core and the VA Pittsburgh Interprofessional Advanced Fellowship in Addiction Treatment. Since 2016, she has served as Co-Director for the National Coordinating Center of the VA Advanced Fellowship in Addiction Treatment, supporting 10 program sites. In this role she serves as liaison with program sponsors, the Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) and the Office of Mental Health-Substance Use Disorders (OMH-SUD) and leads national curriculum and program evaluation. As Associate Director for the VA Office of Primary Care Analytic Team's High Risk Core, she oversees planning and communications for a network of VA investigators and program office leaders focused on improvement of primary care and health outcomes for Veterans with complex chronic disease. She serves as co-lead of the Mentoring Core for the VA QUERI-funded national quality improvement project Improving Primary Care Access, Efficiency, and Quality for Veterans at High Risk for Health Outcomes: RIVET 2.0, and Co-Investigator on the recently funded VA RCT Improving Complex Primary Care Patient Outcomes Through Proactive Care Planning with Data-Driven Multimorbidity Profiles.
